board of directors | staff | coaches committee | history | awards and grants | annual report | brochure Staff Johanna Bookbinder Program Director Johanna Bookbinder assumed her duties as Program Director of KEEN Phoenix in January 2008. As Program Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization and its programs which includes working with KEEN's families, volunteers, and supporters. Johanna graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Management, and returned to Arizona State University to become a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Johanna’s work experience includes several years of program management in community recreation, primarily serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Her experience includes: Special Olympics, social skills facilitator, Inclusion Support Specialist, behavior management and leisure education. Johanna currently sits on the Board of Directors for Detour Company Theater, a theatrical group of adults with developmental disabilities that performs throughout the year. She has also served as a liaison for the Special Education Advisory Panel to the Arizona Board of Education and has held board positions for the Arizona State Therapeutic Recreation Association. |
